This herb is a well known anti-depressant. In many cases of depression and anxiety, it is prescribed as a drug too. The standard dosage of this herb is around 300 mg in a day for adults. However, it may vary from person to person depending on their body’s chemistry and special circumstances.
It is best taken after consulting your doctor as this herb can reduce the efficacy of other prescription medicines. However, scientific studies have been inconclusive in establishing the credibility of this herb in treating anxiety.
