Pyorrhea is a gum disease which is quite commonly experienced by many people. In this disease, the gum gets swollen and sometimes pus oozes out. The symptoms for the same are bleeding gums, bad breath, pain in the gums while chewing anything and redness on the gums. One of the major causes or pyorrhea is bacterial infection on the teeth and gums.
The other causes could be constant use of toothpicks or any other injury to the gums, poor oral hygiene and the absence of resistance of the gums. When teeth are not brushed properly, food particles remain between the teeth, which also causes pyorrhea. Natural Cures For Pyorrhea
Onion is considered as one of the best and instant relief treatments for pyorrhea. Cut a slice of fresh onion and onion seeds. Keep this in your mouth at the gums near the base of your tooth. Hold it there for as long as you can, without spitting or swallowing the saliva. Do this two to three times a day.
Spinach juice is very good for the problem of pyorrhea because of its effects which benefit the tooth and the gums. The effect of this spinach nearly doubles if it is mixed with an equal measure of carrot juice. Drink this mixture everyday as often as you can and the condition of pyorrhea will heal fast.
Grapes and Bananas
Grapes have high glucose content and some constituents that are good for human body. Drinking juice prepared from grapes daily two to three times a day will give quick relief. Do not add any other ingredient to the juice.
The antiseptic effect of the grapes help it to act fast in curing gum problems. Another fruit which is beneficial in curing pyorrhea is banana. Eat a ripe banana by peeling out the skin. You should eat it gently along with the threadlike inner peel of the banana. This will give relief from pyorrhea as well.
Mustard Oil And Clarified Butter
Mustard oil is rich in vitamins and antioxidants too. It is used in making food in many households. Take a little mustard oil on your palm and with you clean finger rub it over your gums and teeth. You can also add a pinch of salt to it, to increase the healing proportion. Then rinse your mouth with warm water.
Do this every day, twice a day for fast relief. Clarified butter or pure ghee as it is known in India can also help. Take some clarified butter in a small bowl and add some camphor to it. Mix it well to make a paste. Now rub this paste to the gums and leave it on for 10 minutes. Take some warm water and rinse your mouth with it. Do this twice every day to witness the results.
Carom seeds, also known as ajwain in India are known for the pungent flavor. Its healing properties make it another good product to cure pyorrhea. Take some carom seeds and boil it in a litre of water. When it reduces to half, remove it and let it cool down. Now, without throwing away the seeds rinse you mouth with the water. Once you are done with the rinsing, eat the seeds. It will not only heal pyorrhea, but also make your mouth fresher.
