Nausea and Vomiting
Nausea and vomiting are the most common ones amongst the ‘7 common pregnancy problems’. But, in case there occurs severe nausea and if the mother cannot intake food or water, she may become malnourished and dehydrated which can harm her health as well as the health of her child.

Due to the hormonal changes taking place in the body of a pregnant woman, the bowel habits can also be affected. During the early stage of pregnancy, a woman might become constipated. Calf Muscle Cramp
A sudden sharp pain may occur in the calf muscles of leg which is known as calf muscle cramp. This might be due to the excessive weight the legs bear during pregnancy, may be due to circulation problems or due to calcium deficiency.
There is another common problem that occurs in pregnancy which is the feeling of faintness. Hormonal changes can be responsible for this. Faintness, dizziness and light headedness are quite common problems related to pregnancy.
It is sometimes uncontrollable for pregnant women to stop a sudden leakage from the urinary bladder when they cough, sneeze or just stand up. This may be due to the enlarged uterus that can put pressure on the bladder and so, the urine leaks out.
This condition is not so common during pregnancy. Around 20% of pregnant women suffer from this condition. Gestational type of diabetes may occur due to the fact that there may be an interruption in insulin-functioning by the pregnancy hormones and hence developing insulin resistance.
Such mothers-to-be who develop gestational diabetes are at the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, preeclampsia and Caesarean section. This pregnancy problem is also not good for her child as it can increase the risk of child obesity and the child-to-be may also develop type-2 diabetes in later life.
