Herpes is defined as the infection caused due to a simplex virus. Herpes can be of various kinds and can occur almost anywhere, ranging from the skin, genital areas or even sensitive areas of the body. It is something similar to the cold sore, but cannot be put in the same category. These are very painful and the blisters also cause severe muscle pain.
Since it can spread very easily, it is wise to exercise caution when interacting with individuals who have the same. It should also be remembered that this problem may aggravate and recur if not treated on time. So it is best to consult a doctor rather than opting for natural treatments at home, if you don’t get results within a couple of days.

Let the mixture dry up.
This can be done using a cotton ball also, but you should try and use washed hands to apply it. Another remedy here is adding some cornflour to the same to absorb all that extra moisture around the infection. Both have drying and antiseptic affects, which helps to heal the herpes and prevents it from spreading to other parts of the body too. Make sure that you do not touch any other body part with the same hand or the infection will spread.
Many essential oils contain antiseptic and antibacterial and antiviral properties. So applying them on the herpes helps in faster healing. However, it should be remembered that not all of these oils should be applied directly.

Rubbing ice directly over the area should be avoided because the water can trickle down, causing more infection in the cleaner area. Swelling is also reduce by applying the compress and one gets relief from muscle pain too, which is common during herpes.

The gel of the Aloe Vera is great for treating all kinds of blisters along with having many health benefits. Aloe Vera gel can be applied directly on the herpes. Make sure that the gel is fresh, but if you don’t have access to the same, then you can also use a natural tube gel here.

You should apply the aloe gel at least twice a day for visible results. Again, the gel can also be consumed first thing in the morning to get respite. Make sure that you use the edible version here.

Taking a bath using Epsom salts is another great remedy for herpes. Again, as in blisters, the salt helps to reduce itching and irritation. Though you are soaking in water, the wound is actually getting dry thanks to the salt.
Again, salt has healing and antiseptic properties, which will not let the infection get worse. Another option here is mixing Epsom salt with water in a bowl and let your hand or infected area soak in the same.
