Being pregnant is a wonderful feeling because it marks the beginning of the growth of a new life in a woman’s womb. Pregnancy makes you happy and beautiful. Each woman is different and her experience of that phase also varies to a large extent. Even though the best way to confirm a pregnancy is with a pregnancy test, many women experience several pregnancy symptoms after conception.
Symptoms of Pregnancy in the first week
Most of the pregnancy signs are almost similar for every woman though each pregnancy is different. It is true that hormone levels rise and several changes occur in the body of the pregnant woman. Here are the five signs which suggest that a new life is on the way.
After the implantation of embryo, a woman will certainly miss her menstrual cycle in that particular month and the following months of pregnancy. A missed period can also occur because of many other reasons like hormonal problems, excessive weight gain or loss and high stress level. However, it is one of the main signs of your conception. Your missed period usually occurs nearly two weeks after the conception, but sometimes this may also happen in the first week of conception for some women.
Vaginal bleeding is one of the first signs of pregnancy during the first week when the embryo implants in your uterus. Generally the implantation happens six to twelve days after the conception.
Slight bleeding may occur when the tiny embryo disrupts the uterus lining. Women may also suffer from cramping during the time of bleeding.
Tender or Enlarged Breasts
There are many other physical changes which occur in the body after conception. You can experience tenderness and swelling in your breasts even in the first week of the pregnancy due to the changes in hormone level. The new hormone levels bring several changes in your body including the shape and size of your breasts. Sometimes the area surrounding the nipples may darken during this phase. However, these changes in the breasts fade away with time as your body adjusts to the new hormone levels.
Feeling nauseous is another common symptom which women suffer during the first week of pregnancy. You may experience morning sickness and nausea for a few consecutive days. Generally it lasts only for the first trimester. The chances of getting nausea increase if you eat something in the morning with an empty stomach.
You may feel tired during pregnancy even if you have had sufficient sleep. Being tired is quite normal during pregnancy especially during the initial and later stages. Fatigue or tiredness sets even as early as the first week of the pregnancy after the implantation of the embryo. Many women constantly feel tired in early pregnancy. Some other causes of early pregnancy fatigue are lower blood pressure and blood sugar levels and increased levels of progesterone hormone.
Women who are eager to conceive always search for immediate symptoms of pregnancy on the very first day after ovulation. There are no direct signs to confirm pregnancy just after conception, but several early symptoms of pregnancy can felt by women in the first week of pregnancy as the embryo develops.
