1. Get Vaccinated
More and more women understand the importance of getting vaccinated against cervical cancer. The vaccination can be taken from the age of 9-45. Girls and women must take the vaccination before they become sexually active to enjoy its full benefits. 2. Use Condoms

3. Pap Smear
All women above the age of 40 must undergo a pelvic examination and Pap smear annually. For women who have a family history of cervical cancer, the Pap test can be conducted as early as 20 years and vaccination is an utmost necessity in such cases.
Foods that are rich in antioxidants are known to prevent free radical damage in the body that cause diseases like cancer. Therefore fresh fruits and vegetable like raspberries, blueberries, nuts, garlic, onions flax seeds etc. can be included in your diet on a daily basis to prevent the occurrence of cervical cancer. Green tea is another herbal tea which is rich in antioxidants and can be substituted in the place of other beverages.
Selenium is a compound that is found in several fruits and vegetables. Selenium is known to decrease the manufacturing of free radicals in the body that can cause cancer. Food that is rich is selenium must be part of your daily diet to keep away from diseases. Apart from the selenium that your receive from food, you can take supplements with the advice of a doctor. Up to 200 mg can be taken as supplements. Foods that are rich are selenium are garlic, onion, egg yolk, liver, seafood, tomatoes, asparagus, red meat, broccoli, whole grains, mushrooms etc. to name a few.
Regular exercise will help in increasing the immunity of a person and also in regulating the blood pressure and insulin levels in the body. Exercise will also help in removing excess fat from the body, thereby reducing the hormone levels that too are a causative factor for development of cervical cancer. Set aside at least half an hour for regular exercise like walking, swimming, cycling etc.
