Keep Your Hands Away From Your Face
Many of us have the habit of picking on our face even if it is a small pimple. This can lead to infection of the skin as your hand always harbour bacteria that can enter the pores and infect the skin causing acne outbreaks in huge numbers.
Once an acne outbreak is infected, it is easy for the bacteria to get transferred from one part of the skin to the other. Therefore, avoid touching your face frequently and make it a point to wash your hand frequently as well especially after you have visited filthy areas like toilets, parks, malls etc.
Keeping your skin well moisturized and hydrated is also essential when you have acne prone skin as dehydrated skin too can cause acne outbreaks. Drink at least 2 litres of water every day so that the toxins in your body do not stay on the body and lead to acne on the skin.
Drinking plenty of water will help in removing the toxins and bacteria from the body and prevent acne formations on the skin.
Skin Care Products
Skin care products must be chosen with care when you have acne prone skin. Avoid anything that is oily and use hypoallergenic products that do not irritate your skin as well. Scented products are best avoided and stick to herbal formulas as much as possible.
Coming to makeup, it is always important to choose water based make up products to avoid the pores from getting clogged. Before you sleep, make sure that you us a good cleansing solution to remove all the makeup from the skin so that there is no chance of pores getting clogged with makeup. It is also advisable to avoid heavy makeup that makes your skin prone to acne.
Wash your face and body whenever you have been out in the dust. However, you must avoid frequent washing as well, as this could cause dryness on the skin which too can cause acne.
Wash your face at least thrice a day and shower at least once especially when you have been sweating profusely and have been out in the dirt for long.
Diet And Exercise
Exercise should be an important part of your daily life as it has many benefits including reduction in acne outbreaks. Exercising will help in increasing the circulation of blood in the body and this will keep the skin glowing and healthy.
Diet must contain foods that are fresh and less fatty like vegetables, fruits, nuts etc. Include foods that are rich in zinc, vitamin E and A which are essential for skin health.
