There are certain preventive treatments that you can do as well in order to prevent reinfection on the skin. This can be frequent steaming and exfoliation of the skin in order to prevent dirt and bacteria from infecting the pores.
Steaming will help in opening the pores and once the pores are open, you can remove the dirt and grime by wiping with a warm and wet towel. It is also important to close the pores after steaming. Wash your face with cold water to close the pores so that dirt and grime will not enter the open pores and cause reinfection.
