2. Herbal Infusion
A herbal infusion can be prepared by adding one teaspoon mint, elder berry and yarrow root and 1/4th teaspoon of cayenne pepper. This can be added to 1 ½ cups of water and boil. Lower the flame and allow it to steep for 5 minutes.

3. Saline Water
Saline solution can be used for treating blocked nose as well as runny nose. Saline nasal drops can be bought from the market and used for this purpose. We can also prepare them at home by adding 1/4th teaspoon of salt in a cup of water.
Drop the water into one nostril, holding it up and remove the water along with the mucous through the other. Continue with the other nose and repeat 3-4 times until the air passage is clear.
Garlic can resolve the bacterial action that is causing the allergy related to runny nose. Chew 2-3 cloves of garlic daily to keep yourself away from runny nose.

Mint offers a lot of cooling action to the body and helps in clearing the nasal blocks. Take peppermint tea two times a day. Boil a teaspoon of dried peppermint leaves and cool it. Strain and use it.
6. Castor Oil
A grandma’s remedy, with all of us having used it when we were kids, castor oil can remove the allergen that is causing the running nose. 3 to 4 drops can be added with water or a fresh fruit or vegetable juice of your choice and consumed 3 times a day.
