Happiness, excitement and anxiety at the same time! Soon to be moms go through a number of emotions during their pregnancy. Stress, tension and worry are one of the most difficult emotions which sometimes can have an effect on the overall well-being of the lady too. Stress and anxiety cause insomnia and exhaustion. In severe cases, it can affect the baby as well if not treated on time.
Here Are Some Ways To Reduce All Stress During Pregnancy:
Eating Well Helps To Reduce Stress
Eating well helps the mind and body! A diet full of essential nutrients, omega 3 essential fatty acids, minerals and vitamins can help to lift mood and reduce stress. Sea food or oily fish is rich in omega 3 fatty acids which help in keeping away depression. At least two portions of fresh oily fish like trouts, sardines, tuna, salmon and pilchards help in keeping stress away! Amino acids help in boosting moods by raising brain chemical levels and this is all due to Tryptophan amino acid. This acid is not produced by the body and can be taken only by the food that is consumed. It is also found in yogurt, cheese, fresh turkey, eggs and chicken – you can have these in abundance too to reduce anxiety and feel happy.
Drink Plenty Of Water
Focus on how much water you are having. Dehydration has a big affect on the mood and how we feel. Dehydration also leads to headache and nausea. Pregnant women should have at least 8 glasses of water in a day.
Spend Time Relaxing
You do not always have to keep working or doing something! Spend time for yourself and relax. You need to spend time your way, without rushing, without thinking what others might feel. Pregnancy days should be spent relaxing and always be happy. Read books you love, watch good movies, listen to your favorite music or simply sleep as much as you want. Your mind stays relaxed, happy and without stress.
Limit Your Information Overload
Its good to be aware about what is happening in your body but too much information can stress you. Limit information overload. Limit how much you are reading, or spending time on the internet researching pregnancy related topics or discussing with your friends as too much information (especially scary information, negative talks or negative incidents) can scare you, depress and fill you with fear. Just focus on how you feel and what is happening now. Spend little time on research or reading books.
Exercise To Keep Stress Away
Back stretches are a good way to feel relaxed and de-stressed. You can sit forward on a comfortable chair. Keep your legs a bit wider than the hips. Now gently lean forward and slowly drop your torso down. Your head should now be resting just between your thighs. Your head as well as arms will hang down towards the ground. It is recommended to get in touch with your Doctor before you start any exercise, so that you are assured that you are doing it right.
Talk Your Feelings
Confide in someone you are close to! If you have any fears or worries in mind, talk about it. Never be scared to speak out or even admit how you are feeling. You need to be honest to get the right support. You can speak to your friend, partner, sister or mom – anyone you are comfortable with.
Spend the few months happily and be ready to welcome the new member at home!
