Curd Or Yoghurt

Buttermilk
Add two parts yoghurt with one part milk to make your buttermilk. You can also add crushed mint to it as mint is considered good for alleviating heartburn.
Milk
Milk especially cold milk cools down the body and brings some relief to the burning. However, do not drink more than half a glass since it can encourage more acid production in the stomach.

Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple Cider Vinegar is known to calm heartburn in many people. Taking it directly can create some unpleasantness so mix one part of vinegar with one part of water. Gulp it down.
Wait for at least half an hour before lying down. Only, apple cider vinegar is recommended for heartburn, steer clear of other vinegars as they can aggravate the problem.
