Lavender And Coconut Oil
The lavender oil and coconut oil blend helps in keeping the skin elastic and firm. By moisturizing the skin, it helps in reducing itching and appearance of stretch marks. Furthermore, the pleasant fragrance of lavender helps in reducing stress during pregnancy. To make the belly oil, mix ¼-cup of coconut oil with equal amount of olive oil or almond oil. Add 10 drops of lavender essential oil and mix the ingredients well.
Jojoba And Rosehip Seed Oil
Because of its sebum-like consistency, jojoba oil is easily absorbed in the skin. When applied to the belly, jojoba oil helps in providing fast relief from dryness and itching. Rosehip seed oil is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants that support healthy skin. Combine a tablespoon of jojoba oil with equal amount of rosehip seed oil. For additional benefit, add equal amount of sesame oil, apricot oil, sunflower oil and almond oil.
Avocado, Lavender, Neroli And Frankincense Oil
Neroli oil and frankincense oil, apart from adding a pleasant fragrance to the belly oil, has a calming effect, which helps expecting mothers to unwind. The essential oils also help in disinfecting and rejuvenating the skin. Make belly oil by combining ¼-cup of avocado oil with ½-cup of coconut oil. Add a teaspoon of neroli oil, ½-teaspoon of frankincense oil and a teaspoon of lavender essential oil.
Calendula And Ginger Oil
Calendula and ginger, when used topically, helps in improving the elasticity of the skin. Calendula is highly valued as a disinfectant and soothing agent. The anti-inflammatory and antioxidant constituents of ginger support healthy skin. Add a tablespoon of dried calendula flowers and ¼-teaspoon of dried ginger to ¼-cup of coconut oil. Add three tablespoons of apricot kernel oil. On low heat, using a double-boiler, simmer the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes. Strain and use the oil.
Vanilla And Wheat Germ Oil
The vitamin E rich wheat germ oil keeps the skin hydrated and elastic. The soothing effect of vanilla helps in reducing stress during pregnancy. Mix two tablespoons of wheat germ oil with equal amount of sesame seed oil. Add two teaspoons of vanilla extract and mix the ingredients. The belly oil is now ready for use.
