5 Effective Solutions To Fade Freckles Naturally

Overexposure to sun can cause a lot of skin problems. Freckles are small brown, red or yellow spots that appear on the skin, especially on areas that are exposed to the sun.

1. Tomato Juice

Tomato helps in lightening the skin with frequent application. It is also a gentle exfoliant due to its astringent qualities. Mash a ripe tomato along with the skin and apply on the freckled skin. Massage gently for about 15 minutes so that the juice penetrates the deep layers of the skin. Do this two times day and continue for a month. The freckles would start lightening by the second week and by the end of a month, it would have almost become invisible.

2. Lemon Juice

Slice a lemon and squeeze it gently before rubbing it on the freckles. Rotate the slice on the freckles so that the exfoliating action takes place better. Do it twice a day and leave it on for 15 minutes. Application of lemon every day will lighten the skin due to its bleaching action and the freckles will be almost gone by the end of a month’s usage. Do not go out in the sun for half an hour, after application of lemon juice as lemon makes the skin photosensitive.

3. Sour Milk

Sour milk can be used for treating freckles. The lactobacillus and bleaching action will help in lightening the freckled skin in a few weeks. Apply sour milk on the freckled skin and leave it for 15 minutes. As milk is fatty, oily skin may not react well to it. Add some lemon juice to the sour milk if you have oily skin.

4. Vitamin E

Vitamin E can be rubbed on the freckles for rejuvenating the skin and removing the pigmentation. For this squeeze the vitamin E out from the capsules and apply on the freckles. Leave it overnight and wash it off in the morning. Continuous application for two weeks will make your freckles negligible and the skin would have a natural glow and shine to it.

5. Turmeric

Application of turmeric on the skin will lighten the skin considerably, along with the freckles. Grind turmeric sticks at home to form a fresh powder. Mix with water and apply on the freckles. Allow the turmeric to dry on the skin. If you have dry skin, your skin could turn dry with constant application of turmeric. Add some milk cream or sour milk along with turmeric for dry skin. Turmeric can be applied 2-3 times a day and in a week’s time the improvement of the freckled skin will be visible.
