5 Yoga Poses For Lupus

Also known as the Swastikasana is practiced to calm the nerves and can be performed by sitting on the floor and folding the legs in a way that the left ankle resides in between the right thigh and the knee and the vice versa. The next step is to focus your vision straight forward and stay as it is for at least 5 minutes.

To practice this one, you would need to lie on the floor with your back on the ground and slowly bend the knees so that your feet are on the ground. The next step is to breathe out and press the arm and the inner part of your feet on the floor and trying to lift your hips off the floor until the thighs are parallel to the floor fully. You must remember to keep your neck and shoulders on the floor and keep your body pose so that it resembles a bridge. Stay for a minute and repeat for best results.

4. Legs Up The Wall Pose

This pose happens to be another wonder treatment for people suffering from lupus pain and inflammation woes. The first step is to place a bolster along the wall and lie down on your sides while your hips lie on the bolster. The next step is to get the hips close to your chests so that the soles of the feet rest on the wall’s surface and then slowly try to raise the feet onto the wall while trying to roll the hips closed to the wall on the bolster. The last step is to move closer to the wall and raise your legs straight on the wall and stay on for five minutes before release.

5. Camel Pose

Camel pose is one of the most effective remedies to cure lupus and rheumatic pain caused by the same. Thus you can simply practice this by kneeling on the floor while keeping the hands on your sides and slowly bending backwards till you feel a stretch of some kind. The next step is to try and hold your heels and stay on for atleast a few seconds before you leave and continue again.
