Every girl yearns for a beautiful flawless face free of acne, pimples, scars and blemishes just like the ones in advertisements of glossy magazines. You know that they are all morphed images but in reality do you think it is impossible to get such a face. It is true that oily skin is one of the most difficult to care for and managing an oily face is no fun.
You hate your face every time you see those shiny oily patches on your forehead. Managing your oily face and looking stunning and attractive at the same time can be quite challenging. Following home remedies might help you to cope up with this challenge.
Effective Home Remedies To Get Rid Of Oily Face
Wash It Regularly
Every girl with oily skin knows, the oilier the skin, the dirtier it looks and feels. So it is important to keep your face clean by washing several times a day, there is no definitive number of times though. Every person’s skin needs are different.
Start by washing your face twice a day and depending on the reaction on your face you can increase. Washing it too often may rip your face off essential oils. So be careful with that.
Say No To Moisturizers
You require absolutely no moisturizer for your face; your skin is already doing it for you by producing enough oil to keep your face moisturized and free from dryness. In extreme cases you can use water-based light moisturizers.
Scrubs And Masks
Like all other skin types your oily face too needs to be exfoliated regularly using scrubs made for oily skin. You can also use homemade scrubs. Scrubbing removes extra oil deposition from the face and rubbing in areas like nose and chin removes blackheads too.
Be careful not to overdo, as it may stimulate pores for more oil production. After scrubbing you can apply a mask such as a clay mask or mud mask which soothes your skin and reduces any greasiness from the face. Leave the mask for 10minutes or until it is dry and rinse it off.
Aloe vera works wonders for all skin types with its rejuvenating properties. Its anti microbial properties are ideal to treat the acne and pimple prone oily face. It contains beneficial compounds like polysaccharides, lectins and mannans etc.
Prepare an aloe vera mask by boiling and grinding aloe vera leaves. Add honey to the paste and apply onto the face for 20 minutes and rinse it off with cold water.
If you can go make-up free, then by all means do it. Else minimize make up as much as possible, at least avoid foundation completely. Make up builds up more oil on your face. If you have to put make up, use water based cosmetic products designed for oily skin. While removing the makeup, make sure every trace is washed off properly.
Cornstarch absorbs oil and dries up oily patches. You can use cornstarch in different ways. One way is to make a paste using two to three tablespoon of cornstarch and water.
Apply onto your face, allow it to dry and rinse it off. Try this on daily basis for better results. You can also dust cornstarch all over your face, it absorbs oil in seconds.
