2. Fenugreek


The seeds of fenugreek can also help in treating canker sores. Take a tablespoon of fenugreek seeds and boil it with a litre of water. This water is good for drinking, as well as for treating other disorders.They can also be used for swishing your mouth for treating canker sores. Leave the water in the mouth for 5 minutes to speed up the healing of the sores.

3. Yoghurt


Yoghurt can be applied on the sores and left on to bust the bacterial action. Keep yoghurt in your mouth as often as needed and prevent the bacteria from piercing its claws into the sores and causing pain and discomfort. The good bacteria in yoghurt will soon dry the canker sores and relieve you from the pain.

4. Tannin


Tannin is a pain reliever and numbs your mouth from feeling the pain. Take a tea bag and prepare black tea. This tea can be taken slowly and hot allowing it to remain in the mouth for some time. The heat too will destroy the bacteria and accelerate the healing pattern.

5. Turmeric


Turmeric is antiseptic in nature and can heal open wounds very fast. Make a paste of turmeric powder and water and leave it in your mouth. Turmeric mixed with a cup of water can be used for swishing your mouth as well to heal canker sores.

Chew some onions and allow onion juice to touch the sores. Leave the juice in your mouth for some time before swallowing or spitting it out. Onion has antibacterial properties and removes all kinds of mouth sores from the oral cavity.

7. Papaya


Eat a papaya that is very ripe to treat canker sores. This being a sweet remedy will appeal to many. Papaya has enzymes that can heal ulcers of the mouth and relieve the inflammation as well. Papaya leaves too can be chewed upon to get the same effect.
