Generally you should consume at least 8 to 10 glasses of water per day. But when you are suffering from vaginal dryness, this amount of water intake may not be sufficient. So you should increase your water intake to minimize the vaginal dryness.

2. Avoid Caffeine And Alcohol

Consumption of alcohol should be altogether avoided because it is likely to have a drying effect on your body including your vagina. Therefore, you should avoid alcohol intake until your body is able to produce sufficient lubricants and you get rid of the vaginal dryness. Caffeine and certain other beverages also tend to cause a drying effect. You should not have intercourse without properly lubricating your vagina. Penetration in the absence of lubricants, can lead to pain, discomfort and an internal injury too. You should choose lubricants that are water-based because they are much safer for your body. Read the instructions given on the label carefully and then use it accordingly. But the use of these products should be avoided because they contain perfumes and chemicals that might cause serious infection in the vagina.

7. Eat A Balanced Diet

Postpartum vaginal dryness can be dealt with effectively by making certain dietary changes. Consuming a balanced and nutritious diet can be very helpful in increasing natural lubrication and reducing the vaginal dryness over a certain period of time. A diet high in fatty acid is recommended for dealing with postpartum vaginal dryness. Fatty acid aids in the production of additional lubrication in the vagina.
