So you can take foods rich in lysine such as milk, eggs, fish, cheese etc. At the same time care must be taken to avoid food that is rich in arginine which is found in almonds, chocolates, cashews and cereals.
Coconut Oil Mixture
A mixture of coconut oil, dettol and carbolic acid is a very effective remedy for cold sores. This mixture can also be stored in bottles and can be kept for later use.
Another grandma’s remedy is by placing a piece of garlic on the affected area. Garlic has a compound called kyolic which has anti viral effects and will reduce the virus replication.
