Yeast infection causes severe itching in your vagina and the region around it. It may also cause swelling in and around your vagina which leads to soreness and cracks on your skin. The major cause of this itching is inflammation caused due to overgrowth of the yeast cells in the vaginal area.

Cottage Cheese Like Vaginal Discharge

Yeast infection sometimes leads to white lumpy discharge from the vagina. This kind of discharge has no odour, looks like cottage cheese and generally occurs a week before your menstrual cycle.
